Is tea meant to be drunk without sugar?

For the majority of the world, the answer is yes. Whether it means stirring a teaspoon of white sugar into a mug of black tea or sipping a prepared iced tea from a bottle, most teas are served with sweeteners.

Why have I gone off the taste of tea?

If you ever feel like your tea just tastes like hot water and you really can’t get any flavour, you may not have used enough tea leaves for the amount of water. If you ever feel like your tea is way too strong, then you may have used too many leaves for the amount of water.

Why would I go off tea?

While teas rarely go bad, they do lose their flavor over time, especially if stored improperly. After all, life’s too short to drink bad tea! Fresh tea should be aromatic and brew up a bright, flavorful cup. If you find your tea becoming less flavorful over time, it may be time to replace it.
