Is solar system similar to atom?

The Bohr or solar system model of the atom states that atoms consist of a nucleus with a number of electrons in orbits around that nucleus, similar to a solar system. Perhaps our own Solar System is similar to the element Oxygen, which has a nucleus and eight smaller electrons rotating around it in their orbits.

Is earth an atom compared to the universe?

(1e-10 / 5.56e-13 = 179.8) approx a 180th of the size of an atom!!! So if the entire observable universe is the size of planet earth (12000km diameter), planet earth would take a 180th part of an atom within this universe!! A simple atom (hydrogen) has 1 proton in it’s nucleus and 1 electron circling around it.

Is the sun an electron?

The most abundant atom in the Sun is hydrogen. Each hydrogen atom is made up of a nucleus that contains a positively charged proton, and a remote, negatively charged electron that orbits the nucleus. In the Sun, collisions rip the hydrogen atoms apart, and separate the electron from the nucleus.

What keeps electrons attracted to the nucleus?

The answer is electricity and magnetism. The atom’s center, or nucleus, is positively charged and the electrons that whirl around this nucleus are negatively charged, so they attract each other. The reason the force is strong is because the atom is so small.

Is an atom bigger than an electron?

Atoms. An atom is composed of a relatively heavy nucleus surrounded by a cloud of electrons. That is, they’re about 100 million times bigger than electrons.

Is the sun an atom?

Like any star in its prime, the sun consists mainly of hydrogen atoms fusing two by two into helium, unleashing immense energy in the process. But it’s the sun’s tiny concentration of heavier elements, which astronomers call metals, that controls its fate.

What is the relationship between the Solar System and the atom?

An atom is a fractal. A solar system is a galaxy in formation and is growing and expanding. A planet and a moon is a baby solar system which is growing and expanding in size. Thus, all are related in their particular fractal reality. Note – Time of spin rate and size indicates which fractal dimension.

What are the two differences between atoms and planets?

2. The size of all the electrons in an atom is the same. However, in our solar system, the planets vary greatly in size. 3. In atoms you have electrons to account for the planets and the nucleus for the sun. But there is nothing to compare the planet satellites with, in an atom.

What is the relationship between the sun moon and Earth?

SUN, MOON, AND EARTH. CONCEPT. Earth is intimately tied to the star around which it revolves, the Sun, and the satellite that revolves around Earth itself, the Moon. Without the Sun, of course, life on Earth simply could not exist, not just because of the need for light but to an even greater degree because of the energy it supplies.

Why don’t electrons and atoms revolve on the same plane?

Atoms are 3D: they don’t have the same history that causes the planets to revolve all in the same plane. Even without invoking quantum mechanics, the two bear absolutely no resemblance to one another. When you do bring quantum mechanics into it, it gets even more different. Electrons do not orbit at all. They don’t even have exact positions.
