Is Pune a good city?

Pune has emerged as the smartest city of India over the span of last 10 years and how. Emerging IT sectors, planned housing societies, and pleasant weather, Pune has everything that makes it the best city to live and work in. It doesn’t come as a surprise that Pune is awarded as the 2nd best city to live in India.

Why is Pune so cool?

Clear skies usually help in releasing the earth’s energy during night in the form of long wave radiation thus leading to cooling down of the earth surface rapidly. This further leads to lower minimums which was the case in Pune and Ahmednagar which recorded the temperature of 7.1°C.

What is your favorite reason to live in Pune?

My favorite reason to live in Pune and prefer living here all life long is the peaceful environment. May be that’s the reason it is referred as Pensioner’s Paradise or a perfect place for retired people. On one hand it is a hip ‘n’ happening city and on the other hand is peaceful and calm.

How is Pune different from other cities in India?

As we compare Pune to other metropolitan cities of India, it is very small in size. Most of the places are easily accessible and transportation is not a problem here. The public transport facilities are competitively better in Pune. You can reach one corner of the city from another in just 1 – 1.5 hr, which is not possible in other cities.

Is it safe for a girl to live alone in Pune?

I’ve been living alone after my 12th standard and for me Pune is the safest place for a girl. It’s almost seven years now that I’ve been in Pune and am settled here (married).

Why is Pune called ‘Oxford of East’?

Pune has various renowned educational institutes like schools, colleges, engineering colleges, Medical Colleges, Universities etc. Some these institutions are also listed amongst the best schools and colleges of India. That is the reason why Pune is referred as ‘Oxford of East’.
