Is NPTEL exam conducted at home?
Certificates will be issued based on an in-person proctored online examination which will be conducted after the course concludes. A nominal fee is applicable to take the in-person proctored examination. Registration for the proctored exam will commence two weeks after the start of the online course.
How are NPTEL exams conducted Covid?
NPTEL Committee has decided to discontinue the Online Remote Proctored Exam Option. OPTION 1: IN PERSON PROCTORED EXAM AT FIXED EXAM CENTRES We will be conducting exams with TCS iON (like we normally do) for which you have to appear in person at the designated exam centre in the city chosen by you.

Is NPTEL exam online or in person?
Most of the NPTEL course exams are online. They are conducted at specific examination centers in selected cities. Examination centers are managed by TCS, same as GATE exams. What is the value of NPTEL online certification courses?

Mostly Are Online Exam, Only for the objective online exam. But Some Subjective Exam happens Offline and Nptel Results should be available 2-3 weeks. How many minimum assignments I should submit in NPTEL?
Can I join more than one NPTEL course at a time?
Yes.You may join for any number of NPTEL courses you wish but you can write exams only for a maximum of six courses per semester. You can take one exam in the forenoon session and another during the afternoon session on the same day.
Can I take the netnptel exam outside India?
NPTEL conducts the final certification exam as a proctored exam where the candidate has to come in person to a designated centre and write the exam. We do not have a process in place to conduct proctored exam for candidates outside India. Hence you can enroll and study using these courses.
