Yes it does borrow heavily from Souls, but it does it’s own thing with that influence and becomes it’s own identity from it. So, yes it potentially is harder than Dark Souls in many ways. I don’t think it’s a bad game, but as a casual player of the series, it just didn’t feel like it fit right.
