Is NeXT exam for BDS?

While the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, or NEET (UG), is the common all India entrance test for students seeking to enter into an MBBS course, including dental (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses, at government and private institutions, NeXT is envisaged as a uniform exit test.

What happens if we get fail in BDS?

Under the ‘break system’, students who fail in the first year of MBBS and BDS, cannot attend second-year classes and are forced to take a break of six months, before re-taking their exams. This is often a waste of time, said students, and leads to a lag in their progress.

Is MCI test Cancelled?

Government of India has abolished MCI Screening test or FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) which was treated as Licensing exam exclusively required for Indian students studying abroad.

Do BDS students have to give next?

According to the Draft Bill, all UG students who have graduated from a BDS college in India will be required to sit the exit exam, aptly named as National Exit Test or NEXT. The exit exam is similar to the one proposed for MBBS exit exam. The date will be specified by the Government of India through a notification.

Is BDS first year Tough?

It’s not tough, however, you have to work quite hard. I had a friend who did this, and she used to study all day for completing both the courses. In college, you’ll feel like enjoying along with others, but you need to stay determined.

Is BDS very tough?

Being a full time dentist is not easy. Its perhaps one of the most toughest courses. BDS lasts for around 4 years plus one year of internship. The journey from BDS to MDS is not only tough but costly also.

Will next replace NEET PG 2021?

NEXT (more commonly known as National Exit Exam for MBBS) will be a single window examination which will replace NEET-PG exam & MCI Screening exam (FMGE: Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). It will be implemented from 2022. The students who will pass NEXT exit exam will start their internship.

Is MCI exam replaced by Next?

After passing MCI Exam for Foreign Medical Graduates, students have to undergo compulsory 1 year rotatory internship in India after which they get permanent registration with MCI (MCI is now replaced by NMC: National Medical Commission) or State Medical Council.

Can I switch from BDS to MBBS?

Yes, there is a bridge course from BDS to MBBS, Public Universities are starting with the course. Public Universities will also be allowed to provide the option of a Bridge Course. After completion of BDS, this bridge is expected to be three years in duration.

Can we change from BDS to MBBS?

Can I do MBBS after BDS? Yes, you can study MBBS after BDS.

Is BDS is better than MBBS?

As by opting one among both MBBS vs BDS courses, graduates serve the nation and take care of health and hygiene. Due to limited knowledge, any aspirants even thinking of becoming a doctor end up opting for the MBBS course but BDS is also the best alternative.

Which is hard MBBS or BDS?

MBBS and BDS are equally difficult and equally easy. MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Whereas, BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental surgery. BDS deals with dental criteria, this means a graduate will be a Dentist doctor.
