Loomis’ vagaries in the original Halloween movie: chiefly that Michael Myers isn’t a man, but pure evil in human form. In the coda of Halloween Kills, Michael lays prone after being viciously beaten, before regenerating in front of the Haddonfield mob.
Does Michael Myers need his mask?
No it isn’t. He wears a mask because his killings are ritualistic and tied to the ceremony of Samhain when masks are worn. At least in the original Halloween movies, Michael is not credited as Michael but as ‘the shape’ which I always found interesting.
