Is it the book better than the movie?

When you read a book, you can interpret the plot and the story to your liking. Books allow your mind to be creative. Furthermore, books are much more detailed than films. Usually a film lasts approximately two hours while in a book there can be hundreds (maybe thousands) of pages of description.

Which is better reading books or watching movies?

Reading books can give you many more details than watching a movie and also helps brain function among other things. Watching movies is great for social life and a great form of entertainment among other things. Both are great for stress relief, growth in knowledge and vocabulary and are great hobbies.

What makes books better than movies?

Books can let you imagine the setting or events happening in the story. They are also more detailed than movies because movies sometimes leave out some important details. In some movies, they switch up the characters because in the book they are different and totally the opposite.

Is it worth haggling over which is better — book or movie?

Is ‘addicted’ the best movie based on a book?

“Addicted,” a 2014 film based on a book released in 1998, no doubt disappointed avid fans of erotic novelist Zane. There are several films on this list based on highly regarded young adult science fiction or fantasy series: “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” “Divergent,” and “Ender’s Game” all disappointed, compared with rave reviews on Goodreads.

What makes some movies more powerful than others?

Short of the Zach Morris look-at-the-camera-while-having-a-side-convo-with-the-audience technique, it’s tough for filmmakers to depict the inner workings of a character’s mind. Some movies are more powerful because they play like books. Film noir and later Alfred Hitchcock did a good job of inference with subtle tension.

Which movies have the biggest differences between Goodreads and Metacritic scores?

In this case, the movie with the biggest difference between scores was “ Up in the Air ,” which was a middlingly received novel — 2.9 out of 5 stars on Goodreads — but a very well-received George Clooney movie, with 83 out of 100 on Metacritic. (I still have “ The Passenger ” by Iggy Pop stuck in my head as a result of this film.)
