Yes of course you can, there are no hard and fast rules in art, in fact if you want to try something different I’d definitely encourage you to do so. You can do several different styles at the same time if you choose to. Art is to be enjoyed so do whatever you feel like doing and enjoy the experience.

But you guys, there’s nothing wrong with copying, as long as you follow some best practices. And in fact there are many reasons you should copy. Almost every artist’s journey begins with imitating other artists. Over time, the experience leads them to explore and discover their own style and voice.

Instead use it, learn from it, model it, and then create your own version of it. Don’t worry about being seen as an imitator. We have all learned our art from those who have come before us. Embrace it and create a version of it that is true for you. The truth is that your career as an artist is only as serious as you take it.
Is art a necessity or a luxury?
After all, we are not creating necessities but luxuries for the most part. As much as our art enriches our life and the lives of others, it remains something that we (at least as consumers) could probably live without.
