Is IntelliJ IDEA good for Python?

Out of the box, IntelliJ IDEA provides a comprehensive feature set including tools and integrations with the most important modern technologies and frameworks for enterprise and web development with Java, Scala, Groovy and other languages. On the other hand, PyCharm is detailed as “The Most Intelligent Python IDE”.

On top of that, IntelliJ IDEA is much more better looking than Eclipse. The logo and IDE design is also why I was attracted to IntelliJ IDEA rather than Eclipse. Eclipse is rather dull. But still, Eclipse is older than IntelliJ IDEA (is why people use Eclipse?) and hence probably has more experience than IntelliJ IDEA.

  • Run the packaged application. To make sure that the JAR artifact is created correctly,you can run it.
