Is double minoring a good idea?
In many ways, a double minor is mostly for you. It will help broaden your studies and will give you skills you wouldn’t otherwise have, but it will slow your studies down considerably. Also, employers tend to place more emphasis on majors, GPAs, and work experience than minors.

Sure, a double major costs more, but zoom in on the marginal costs. You have fixed expenses like housing and base tuition that exist anyway.

Explore an interest. Few periods of life like college exist in which students can educate themselves on anything that they find interesting.

The paper noted that the premium ranged from nothing at liberal arts colleges to almost 4 percent at “research and comprehensive” universities.
