Is Biotechnology and microbiology same?

Microbiology is a basic subject which is a sub section of biology. It deals with the life cycles and behaviour of microbes (bacteria/fungi etc.). Biotechnology is a wider subject and covers most of the microbiology in it. A biotech graduate can find a job in the field of microbiology and vice versa.
