Is bass better for people with big hands?

Most large-handed players recommend a bass guitar with a wider neck and a thicker, fat round neck front to back. 5-string basses are also favored for big hands for the same reason, as their wider necks with 19mm spacing feel quite comfortable for larger hands.

Is bass easier to play with small hands?

The easiest way to play bass if you have small hands is to simply use a short-scale bass. If you can’t invest in a short-scale bass, stretch your fingers out regularly and always warm-up before playing. Using your pinkie finger more often will also make playing bass easier over time.
