How much does FASTag costs?

The FASTag is operated by 23 different banks, which are governed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)….Charges.

What is minimum balance in FASTag?

Due to low balance you would be unable to pass through the Toll Plaza using the FASTAG. Hence, you need to recharge your Kotak Fastag Account. The minimum amount for cars/ jeep/ van is Rs. 200.

How much does FASTag charges for round trip?

50 and for the round trip, it is Rs. 80. 30 will be deducted from your Fastag Wallet on your return trip. In other words, the total amount of round trip (Rs. 80) minus the amount of single way trip (Rs. 50) i.e 80-50=30 will be charged from your Fastag account while crossing the single toll plaza within 24 hours.

Can FASTag balance go negative?

If the account balance becomes negative, the bank can recover from the security deposit, which should be replenished at the time of the user’s next recharge. As a result, many FASTag users were not allowed to pass through a toll plaza, despite having sufficient balance in their FASTag account/wallet.

What charges are there on FASTag?

Charges Applicable on FASTag generally include issuance fees, a one-time Security Deposit which is refundable on closure of the wallet and the corresponding charges on reloading your FASTag wallet. In case the tag is damaged/lost a re-issuance charge is applicable on your second tag.

What is the time period for deducting toll from FASTag?

The first time a customer crosses the toll, Rs. 30 is deducted from the FASTag. When the customer comes back, then the difference between Rs. 45 and Rs. 30, which is Rs. 15 is deducted. If the customer crosses the toll again, then s/he is charged Rs. 30. The stipulated time period might vary from toll to toll.

How is the FASTag calculated for round trips?

This is how it is calculated. If the round trip happens within the stipulated time (it varies from toll to toll), then the FASTag automatically deducts only the difference during the return trip. For example, if single trip costs Rs. 30 and a round trip costs Rs. 45, then the following happens

What is threshold amount in NETC FASTag for tag deposit?

Charges mentioned above are subject to change. Threshold amount is the minimum recharge amount to be done at the time of tag activation. The above mentioned tag deposit rates would be applicable as per your vehicle class and will be refunded to only KYC Customers at the time of NETC FASTag account closure.
