How many times can I give NIOS exam?

You can avail as many as nine chances to appear in the public examinations spread over a period of five years. NIOS holds external examinations twice a year. NIOS will keep and accumulate your passes (Credit) in particular subjects in its computer till you clear all the required subjects for a certification.

Your graduation degree will still be valid even if you repeat class 12th from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). But you cannot utilize NIOS certificate and previous board class 12th certificate together.

What is on-demand examination in NIOS?

The basic concept of On Demand Examination is that NIOS Student can walk into the examination center as and when he/she feel ready for the examination. NIOS re-introduced the ODES at Secondary level in 2005. With the success of ODE at Secondary level, NIOS started the On-Demand Examination in Sr.Secondary also from October 2007.

Who is eligible to take re-admission with NIOS?

The students of NIOS at SECONDARY/senior Secondary level who have completed their validity period of five years of admission, but could not complete the Course, are eligible to take Re-admission with NIOS.

What is the waiting period for the IAS exam?

A 14-day waiting period is also imposed between the third and fourth attempts and fourth and fifth attempts. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times within a 12-month period. This 12-month period starts from the first attempt. The candidate is eligible to retake the exam 12 months from the date of their first attempt.

When will the NIOS odes result be declared?

Respects the individuality and sovereignty of each Student. Every Month through NIOS web site www.nios.ac.in for the ODE conducted during last month. After due processing the ODES result will be declared and published through NIOS web site during last week of every month for the examinations conducted during the preceded month.
