How many times a paper can be recycled for use?

Some industry sources estimate that an ordinary sheet of paper made from cellulose fibers derived from wood can survive only four to six trips through the recycling process. The Environmental Protection Agency puts the figure at five to seven times.

However, they should be used for something before they are thrown away. (Tissue boxes and paper towel cores are recyclable with paper).

Nondurable goods made of paper, excluding newspapers, had a recycling rate of 43.1 percent, while newspapers had a recycling rate of 64.8 percent.
