How many possible outcomes are there if you roll a 12 sided die?

You can use the Fundamental Counting Principal to find the total possible outcomes. For each roll of the 12 sided die you can have 20 pairings with the other one. Therefore, you can have 12 X 20 or 240 possible outcomes.

How many possible outcomes are there when a die is rolled 6 times?

With six total rolls, and 2 equally possible outcomes for each roll, that gives us: 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 64 total possible outcomes for the 6 die rolls.

How many combinations are there with 6 dice?

How many total combinations are possible from rolling two dice? Since each die has 6 values, there are 6∗6=36 6 ∗ 6 = 36 total combinations we could get….What are the most likely outcomes from rolling a pair of dice?

Outcome Probability
4 3/36 = 8.33\%
5 4/36 = 11.11\%
6 5/36 = 13.89\%
7 6/36 = 16.67\%

How many ways can you roll 6 dice?

The number of possible outcomes is 66=46656.

When you roll a 6 sided dice What number is most likely to be on top?

As you can see, 7 is the most common roll with two six-sided dice.

How do you find the probability of rolling a single die?

The probability of rolling the same value on each die – while the chance of getting a particular value on a single die is p, we only need to multiply this probability by itself as many times as the number of dice. In other words, the probability P equals p to the power n, or P = pⁿ = (1/s)ⁿ.

What is the probability of getting 7 on a 10-sided die?

There is a simple relationship – p = 1/s, so the probability of getting 7 on a 10 sided die is twice that of on a 20 sided die. The probability of rolling the same value on each die – while the chance of getting a particular value on a single die is p, we only need to multiply this probability by itself as many times as the number of dice.

What is the probability of rolling a 15 on a dice?

If we consider three 20 sided dice, the chance of rolling 15 on each of them is: P = (1/20)³ = 0.000125 (or P = 1.25·10⁻⁴ in scientific notation). And if you are intereseted in rolling the set of any identical values, simply multiply the result by the total die faces: P = 0.000125 * 20 = 0.0025.

What is the probability of Rolling X to the same value?

The probability of rolling at least X same values (equal to y) out of the set – the problem is very similar to the prior one, but this time the outcome is the sum of the probabilities for X=2,3,4,5,6,7. Moving to the numbers, we have: P = P (X=2) + P (X=3) + P (X=4) + P (X=5) + P (X=6) + P (X=7) = 0.11006 = 11.006\%.
