How long it will take to get FASTag?

Usually it will take 6-8 working days to deliver your FASTag at your address for your 4 wheelers. It will take a maximum of 21 working days to get your FASTag delivered.

Does FASTag balance expire?

No, the balance in your FASTag Account does not have any expiry. In other words, if your FASTag was issued today, and you recharge it with Rs 500, the amount will remain active in your FASTag Account for up to 5 years, if not used.

What happens if my FASTag doesn’t have balance?

A threshold /minimum amount is maintained for our FASTag wallet and if the balance in your wallet goes below the assigned amount the tag account goes into Low balance. Due to low balance you would be unable to pass through the Toll Plaza using the FASTAG. Hence, you need to recharge your Kotak Fastag Account.

How much does it cost to use fastfastag in India?

FASTag issued by certified banks can charge maximum of Rs 100 for each tag, which is fixed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). However, the actual tag issuing charges are defined by the bank and may vary from bank to bank.

By April 2016, FASTag was rolled out to 247 toll plazas on national highways across India, representing 70\% of all toll plazas in the country at the time. By 23 November 2016, 347 fee plazas out of 366 on national highways across the country accept FASTag payments.

As of September 2019, FASTag lanes are available on over 500 national and state highways and over 54.6 lakh (5.46 million) cars are enabled with FASTag. Starting 1 January 2021, FASTag was to be mandatory for all vehicles but later the date was postponed to 15 February 2021.
