How is industrial oxygen produced?

The most common commercial method for producing oxygen is the separation of air using either a cryogenic distillation process or a vacuum swing adsorption process. Nitrogen and argon are also produced by separating them from air.

Is there a difference between industrial oxygen and medical oxygen?

The difference is that purity levels of industrial oxygen are not at par with medical oxygen. There can be impurities from the containers of industrial oxygen. Medical oxygen cylinders should also be free of contaminants. The industrial cylinders should be thoroughly cleaned before use.

Where oxygen is used in industry?

Oxygen has numerous uses in steelmaking and other metals refining and fabrication processes, in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, petroleum processing, glass and ceramic manufacture, and pulp and paper manufacture. How does oxygen concentrator generate oxygen?

An oxygen concentrator works by filtering and concentrating oxygen molecules from the ambient air to provide patients with 90\% to 95\% pure oxygen. The compressor of the oxygen concentrator sucks ambient air and adjusts the pressure at which it is provided. This forms a continuous loop that keeps producing pure oxygen.
