How good is NPAV?

How good is Quick Heal antivirus?

In my opinion, it is a good anti-virus for home users. It has many features like a firewall, sandbox, anti-keylogger, intrusion detection, along with a ‘TrackMyLaptop’ antitheft system: it seems more like a suite than a standalone antivirus. But its interface is very poor.

Without any doubt Quick Heal is one of the best. I am not aware of performance of most of other Anti virus because I preferred Quick Heal from almost beginning.

Is npav Quick Heal worth it?

NPAV is a good product, no offence but they are still growing. With Machine learning and a lot many new technologies coming into the foray I think Quick Heal stands out even with the top AVs. The only down side to Quick Heal is that it is a little resource intensive.

Since the last 3-4 days we have come across a lot of cases of reported infection of W32.Xpaj virus and surprisingly, found Net Protector Antivrus (NPAV) installed on the computers of all those cases. We were surprised to find the connection and were attempting to find the connection between this malware and the dubious NPAV software.

For all those who may not be aware, NPAV is a dubious product. Being a competitor, we had been observing this product since its origin and had noted a lot of abnormalities in the product. In its early days we had found that NPAV used McAfee command line (DOS based) scan engine for detection of viruses.
