In a close quarters encounter, target the Panther’s gun mantlet as it is only 100 mm thick. It will usually knock out the gunner, cannon breech, commander, or loader. Utilise your advantage, for example M4 Shermans have stabilisers meaning they can perform fire-on-the-move more stable, and T-34-85 are more agile, allowing them to flank better.
Why can’t I shoot the Panther?
Sometimes the Panther will peek out of cover to shoot, and because their hull is long and the turret is placed in the middle, they may unintentionally expose a small, front section of the hull side armour out of the cover as they move forward. Do not miss this chance to give it a clean side-shot.
