How do I find my lost nether portal?

Portals are usually close to the origin (0,y,0). So,if you are really lost,press F3 and make sure you travel close to the origin. Find a nether fortress, then drop all of your items in a chest.

Ruined Portals can be fixed by removing any blocks that are not Obsidian from the frame, and replacing them with Obsidian. Keep in mind that Crying Obsidian cannot be used at all in a Nether Portal frame.
