- On your Android device, open the Voice app .
- Open the tab for Messages , Calls , or Voicemail .
- Block the contact: Open the text message. Tap More People & options Block number. Open the call or voicemail. Tap More Block number.

How can I block someone from calling but not texting my iPhone?
If you block someone on the iPhone, they are blocked for phone calls, messages and FaceTime. You can’t block messages separately. However, you could set the text notification tone for that contact to “none”. Then messages received from them won’t wake you up or distract you.
