Digital Ocean droplets is a virtual private server hosted on their cloud. When I say “cloud”, it doesn’t necessarily mean the real cloud, it is a jargon coined for a network of servers. They are virtual machines that run on top of virtualized hardware, and each droplet you deploy is a new server you can use.
How do I monitor my DigitalOcean droplet?
The most straightforward way to monitor your droplets is with the graphs in the Cloud Control Panel. Log in to your DigitalOcean account and click one of your droplets. You’ll end up on the Graphs screen. The graphs give you an at-a-glance view of your droplet’s CPU, RAM, and disk and network utilization.
How do I cancel DigitalOcean?
To deactivate your DigitalOcean account, follow these instructions:
- Log into your DigitalOcean account.
- Delete all your droplets.
- Go to your dashboard and select ‘Account.
- Scroll down to ‘Deactivate Account’

You can add a new volume to an existing Droplet or while creating a new Droplet.
- From the Create menu in the top right of the control panel, click Volumes, then choose an existing Droplet to attach the volume to in Select Droplet to attach to.
- Choose the size of your volume, which can be from 1 GB to 16 TiB (16,384 GB).
