How did Vichitravirya died in Mahabharat?

Death. Due to an sick his body got white and suddenly due to stomach ache he died. Vichitravirya was precedded by Pandu and later Dhritrashtra.

Was Vichitravirya weak?

Vichitraveerya had some health issues right from childhood. He was not very healthy. Besides, with the death of his brother and passing of his father, he was pampered much by Satyavati. For some reasons, The King of Kashi did not invite Hastinapur kingdom for the swayamvar of his three daughters.

How did Chitrangada died?

The war happened at the banks of River Saraswati. Ultimately after three years, Gandharva emerged as the winner and he killed Chitrangada in the battle. Chitrangada died childlessly, so the throne of Hastinapur went into hands of Vichitravirya. During this war Bheeshma was away helping Lord Indra in a mission .

Vichitravirya died because of tuberculosis. When Bhishma abducted Amba,Ambika and Ambalika and Ambika and Ambalika married Vichitravirya’s desire of living with the universal beauties (his wife) took over his soul .

Why did Ambika close her eyes?

Along with her sisters, Amba and Ambika, Ambalika was taken by force by Bhishma from their Swayamvara, the latter having challenged and defeated the assembled royalty. When he approached Ambika, she closed her eyes in fear. As a result the blind Dhritrashtra was born.
