Jesus(pbuh) was a carpenter, as for the Apostles most of them were fishermen, Matthew was a tax collector, Bartholomew Nathanael was of a royal blood. Jesus(pbuh) had the ability to bless food and make it multiply. He used to feed hundreds of poor people, so food was never a problem. I believe some were Tent makers.
