How did Dragonglass create White Walkers?

The first White Walker was created when Leaf and several other Children of the Forest forced a dragonglass dagger through a First Man’s heart. After a hooded man on a horse came to rescue Bran and Meera from the Wights, he revealed himself to be the Benjen Stark who went missing during his last Ranging.

How and why were the white walkers created?

The White Walkers were created by the Children of the Forest thousands of years ago as a form of protection against the First Men who were cutting their sacred trees and slaughtering their tribe. The Children of the Forest pressed dragonglass daggers into the chests of these First Men to create the first White Walkers.

How was the White Walker King created?

As Bran Stark learned in season 6, the Night King was once a member of the First Men. The Children of the Forest captured and stabbed the man with dragonglass, transforming him into the first White Walker. As a way to cement the White Walkers as a more viable threat, the TV series created by David Benioff and D.B.

Why can’t the Children of the forest stop the White Walkers?

If the Children of the Forest created The White Walkers, why can’t they destroy/kill them? – Quora. Why is it called Dragonglass?

Obsidian was used by the children of the forest to fabricate weapons; obsidian blades are sharper than steel but far more brittle. Dragonglass weapons are one of the few weaknesses of the Others.

What does the White Walkers want?

As revealed ahead of “The Long Night”, the Night King’s target was Bran Stark, or rather, the Three-Eyed Raven. His goal was to erase Westeros, and that started with the Three-Eyed Raven, who served its memory. In order to wipe out humankind, he needs to destroy the keeper of its stories.

Why do the White Walkers want the babies?

They want children from beyond the wall that were promised them when they erected the wall. And so they take the babies offered by the nights watch and in return do not harm men beyond the wall. Probably because Craster has some royal blood. (Probably from Bloodraven.)

Are white walkers dead?

White Walkers, also known as Others in the books, are not dead but instead are a sort of magical humanoid life form. On the show, we know they were created from men thanks to a flashback Bran had showing the Children of the Forest making the Night King by plunging a dragonglass dagger into his heart.
