How can we praise Prophet Muhammad?

“Salli ‘ala Muhammad (send prayers upon Muhammad).” The prayers of Allaah upon Muhammad means His praising him before the higher assembly, i.e., the angels who are close to Him. “Wa ‘ala aali Muhammad (and upon the family of Muhammad)” means and send blessings upon the family of Muhammad.

Salawat (Arabic: صَلَوَات, ṣalawāt sg. salat; also referred to as divine blessings on Muhammad, durood shareef or durood-e-Ibrahim) is an Islamic complimentary Arabic phrase, which contains the salutation upon Muhammad.

Hamdullah or hamdulilah is the short form of saying Alhamdulillah. This is a powerful Arabic word which translates to mean “All praise is due to Allah”. As a Muslim, reciting this word is an integral part of our deen; both the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (saws) teach us to say this word daily.

What does shukar Alhamdulillah mean?

“Alhamdulillah” is the very word that we utter whenever we have to say Shukar. It is usually professed to use Shukar, gratitude, thank you to Allah at what ever we have and in whatever state we are.

For Allah did take Abraham for a friend. This particular title of Abraham is so famous in Muslim culture and tradition that, in the areas in and around Mecca, Abraham is often referred to solely as The Friend. This title of Friend of God is not exclusive to Islamic theology.

Abu Hurayrah reports that Muhammad said: “A person’s Dua will continue to be answered so long as he does not pray for something sinful or for the breaking of family ties.” A dua for something that is haram cannot be made and will not be fulfilled. Muslims cannot ask for that which is forbidden in Islam.
