The MDS course is of three years duration and students are required to be enrolled as full-time candidates. The College is running Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in all 9 specialties recognized by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

A candidate for admission to the MDS Course must have a BDS Degree from a College and University Recognized by Dental Council of India, New Delhi or an Equivalent Qualification Recognized by the DCI. The MDS course is of three years duration and students are required to be enrolled as full-time candidates.

What is the eligibility criteria for admission to a BDS course?

The basic eligibility criteria for admissions to BDS courses have been mentioned as follows: The aspiring candidate must have passed the 10+2 qualifying exam or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 50\% aggregate from a recognised institute. They must have studied the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology compulsorily in their 10+2.

What are the subjects taught in a BDS program in dentistry?

The various subjects taught in the program include Dental Histology, Oral Pathology, Oral Surgery, etc. It is necessary for the students to register themselves in the Dental Council of India which regulates the BDS course so that they become eligible to practise their profession after the completion of their degree.

What is the difference between BDS and MDS?

BDS graduates who wish to study development, anatomy and diseases of the teeth can opt for MDS for their post graduation. M.D.S. course is a three years duration course, but candidates with a postgraduate diploma can complete their MDS degree within the two years of span.
