Send SMS “BAL” to 09223766666 for Balance Enquiry Give a missed call or SMS “MSTMT” to 09223866666. Once you do this, you will get a mini statement with the few latest transactions information on your account listed. You can also SMS “BAL” to 09223866666 to get your up-to-date account balance information.

RBI has also asked all the banks not to levy penal charges for non-maintenance of minimum balances in any inoperative, inactive or dormant account.

As per process, in order to activate the account, you have to submit KYC Documents – Proof of identity and proof of address (like Aadhaar card) and PAN Card and latest passport size photograph and make a cash transaction at counter. This is required to be done at home branch.
