Does UPSC check past employment?
UPSC does not look into your employment history. They do so only if you are a government employee, you have not taken NOC from your employer and your current boss writes to UPSC that they will not release you.
Can I rejoin after absconding?
Yes, of course, provided they are desperate enough to ask you to rejoin. As a matter of policy, many companies do not consider employing even those who have formally quit an organisation after proper notice. In your case, for whatever reason, you appear to have absconded.
How can I claim my PF after absconding?
- You can withdraw your EPF amount if you have completed more than two months of service.
- You can withdraw your EPF amount if you have not got any job till two months after the resignation.
- You can withdraw 100\% of the EPF corpus, the employer contribution and EPF interest upon it after 2 months of resignation.
Is absconding from a job a good idea?

How do you resign as an absconded employee?
Who knows the absconded employee needs to work for the same company again, or there was their reference check in the company. If you must leave, submit a resignation to the appropriate supervisor or HR. Discuss the reason for your exit and don’t label yourself as an absconding employee.
How do you deal with an absconder in the workplace?
Contact the absconder telephonically and by sending an email. If there is no response, then communicate by sending an official (registered or courier) letter on the last known address of the employee. Quote the appropriate sections of your employee handbook and enquire reasons for not coming to work. Ask the employee to report back immediately.
