Does it matter what RAM you use for AMD?

In spite of what manufacturers say, there is really no such thing as Intel compatible, or AMD compatible RAM. The RAM’s standard is defined by JEDEC, and any RAM module which is within the specifications set by JEDEC will work with any CPU and Motherboard which supports that same standard.

Does AMD optimized RAM work with Intel?

It will work fine. DDR4 is DDR4. The only difference that makes them “Ryzen optimized” are the timings and Intel platforms are very compatible with a wide range of settings, plus most motherboards will simply change anything they don’t like.

the 3200g is only officially supported by amd to 2933 but will likely work with higher frequencies. I think most will work at 3200Mhz but the motherboard comes into play as well.
