I think definitely, children have a better childhood than our generation. Parents are now more aware and work on their children, developing the skills of their children. You can now see children working on things like cricket, music, dance activities.
How are families changing today?
Family life is changing. Two-parent households are on the decline in the United States as divorce, remarriage and cohabitation are on the rise. And families are smaller now, both due to the growth of single-parent households and the drop in fertility.

With all that in mind, my answer would have to be: Yes. Growing up in the 21st Century is harder than in the past. Nowadays, students struggle with way too many standards and too much homework.

In conclusion, this essay has argued that the ideas about childhood have changed over the centuries due to development of the understanding of it. Childhood was previously not regarded as something to be recognised and that the innocence in which children possess was not socially realised as to be something to be nurtured.

I don’t know. There are structural reasons for why parenting has changed: the decline in birth rates, the growing fear of crime and sexual abuse, what I call the “discovery of risk,” that is, the worry on the part of parents that almost anything can cause some irreparable accident.
