Do you only have to believe in Jesus to go to heaven?

No. It is not enough. You need to receive or accept Him as your personal Savior and Lord (Eph 2:8) and then be changed by His Words. We all know Jesus and some believe, but He clearly said once that not everyone who calls Him Lord will enter His kingdom.

How do you know if you believe in Jesus?

You will know if you are a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ because the fruit of your faith will be love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness and self control. You love God first and foremost, you start obeying God’s commandments and you will start hating sins, and loving others as yourself.

If you’re feeling anxious and worried, that’s a sign that God is asking you to trust him more. There’s nothing wrong with planning for the future. You’re allowed to work hard and to ask for a practical strategy to work hard according to His will. But if you’re full of worry, doubt, fear and anxiety, God is nudging you.

Will God take your life if you ask?

No it is totally legitimate to ask God to take your life, because ultimately you are leaving the decision to end your life in his hands, which is consistent with Christian belief.

The Bible says that sin keeps you separated from God, so admitting that you’ve sinned is the first step toward believing in Jesus. Trust that Jesus is God’s son and that He died for us. Since sin keeps us separated from God, we can’t reach Him on our own.
