Do we only have to believe in Jesus to be saved?
In addition to some of the scriptures mentioned such as John 3:16 & Rom 10:9, 10, another scripture that supports the fact that a person needs to believe in Jesus in order to be saved is found at John 17:3 it reads: This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent.
What does it mean to believe in Jesus with your heart?
Accepting Jesus into your heart is simply accepting his way of living, loving, and leading our lives. When Jesus came to earth we believe that he was God in the flesh. And so when we talk about accepting Jesus, that means that we are being saved from being trapped in sin, which results in eternal punishment.
