Do we always think of the consequences of our actions?
Everything we think and say and do has consequences for ourselves and for others. Consequences are where our thoughts and actions meet reality. We can’t always foresee all the consequences of our actions and trying to be 100\% sure we are doing the right thing 100\% of the time would lead to anxiety and indecisiveness.
Why do my actions have consequences?
The answer is as direct as the laws of existence, or or physics. Simply, that every action has a reaction. You act, and there are reactions. Your actions have reactions or consequences because you, as every human being, don’t live in a void.
Why are consequences important to society?
Consistent, predictable expectations and consequences help children feel safe. Children who feel safe tend to be less oppositional and misbehave less. Establishing clear boundaries and rules with kindness and logic helps children learn the benefits of positive behavior.
What are actions and consequences?
When we take action, there are consequences. Things happen. These may be good or bad for us, and good or bad for other people. We often pay closer attention to consequences that happen in the short term, where there is clear cause and effect between actions and what happens as a result.
What happens when there are no consequences?
No Consequences Means No Boundaries When kids don’t have consequences for their actions, they feel they can do whatever they want. It doesn’t matter if they do something wrong because nothing happens. There is no punishment or action that tells the child, what you just did is unacceptable.
Why do we have consequences?
Why are discipline and consequences important? From time to time, your child is going to do things you don’t like. They’ll also do a lot of things you do like. The consequence, or what happens right after your child’s behaviors, makes the behavior more or less likely to happen again.
