Do snow machines make actual snow?

Snowmaking is the production of snow by forcing water and pressurized air through a “snow gun”, also known as a “snow cannon”. Snowmaking is mainly used at ski resorts to supplement natural snow. How long does it take for fake snow to dry on a tree? The thicker the layers of “snow” on your tree, the longer it will take to dry. If you use the spray can type of snow, it will take about 4 hours for a light layer to dry. For thicker sprayed-on coats, you’ll want it to sit overnight.
