Any of the IM sub-specialties, such as Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Hematology/Oncology require an IM residency. Most Sports Medicine fellowships require a FM residency. If you know you want to do general medicine in the outpatient setting for all ages, strongly consider Family Medicine.
