Do archers run out of arrows?

It was quite uncommon for archers to run out of arrows during medieval battles. Because there was always a non-fighting unit of soldiers who carried ammo like arrows and other weapons. Whenever the archers ran out of ammo, the non-fighting soldiers reloaded them.
