Did the US Invade Greenland?

The American Invasion of Greenland was a war fought between the United States of America and Greenland, later represented by the Greenlander Resistance Army. The war started on August 28th, 2029 and ended on July 13th, 2031. The war ultimately ended with an American victory and Greenland becoming a U. S. territory.

Why is Greenland not a state?
