Yes you can. There is a persistent myth that you should not as it will damage them in much the same way some halogen bulbs can be damaged if touched with bare skin. This would be true if tubes got as hot as halogen bulbs but they don’t(by a wide margin) because they can’t as they are not made of the same type of glass.
