Can you roller skate on rough surfaces?
Roller skates whether indoor or outdoor skate are meant for smooth surfaces to skate on. A rough road or rough side walk can effect the way the skates perform and can also effect your body balance in the way you have to skate.
Is it easy to roller skate on road?
Can You Roller Skate on the Road? Technically you can roller skate on the road, but roller skating on the road can be unsafe sometimes because of high traffic and bumps on the road. A road with less traffic and a smoother surface is always safer and preferred for skating than other roads.

Can you roller skate on bumpy roads?
The vibration from skating on a bumpy surface will reverberate into your feet and up into your legs. It may cause your feet and/or shins to get tingly or even burn. Softer wheels will lessen the sensation. But the more you skate outside, the more you will get used you it!
Can you roller skate on the grass?
Yes, you can rollerblade on the grass. Many beginners do it to avoid tripping. But you cannot rollerblade properly on that type of surface. This means you won’t be able to learn that much about rollerblading by skating on grassy lands.
Can you skate on concrete road?
If you really think of it, almost everything is skate able is some way. There will ALWAYS be something to skate in your immediate environment. Most skateparks worldwide are either wooden or concrete, having a very smooth surface. So in general skating the streets means moving to a rougher surface.
