Can you put ongoing research on a CV?

When applying for a job in a scientific or an academic field, it is important to show examples of your knowledge and accomplishments. One way to do this is by listing your publications on your resume or curriculum vitae (CV). This list allows a potential employer to easily find a record of your published research.

How do you mention research work on a CV?

Add research to your resume after your experience and education sections. If you have a lot of it and it’s relevant to the job, put it in a special section called “research.” List each research project in a different bullet point.

Can I put research under work experience?

You can list it under the “Experience” section if you weren’t paid for the work, or “Work Experience” section if you were paid, according to American University. But make sure that even unpaid experience, if relevant to the job your seeking, stands out as “Experience.”

You can not add your unpublished work to your resume until your advisor is ok with this. You may be scooped. You may mention this in you resume that you have a manuscript. If your paper has been reviewed and is process of being published it is ok that you attach it.

Should I list Supervisors on resume?

Yep I was a GS-7 and applied for a GS-9 position and they didn’t even call my current supervisor just the previous ones and my references. It is required on a federal resume. You should let your reference know out of courtesy that you have listed them. Actually it is NOT required on a federal resume.
