Can two mobile numbers be the same in different countries?

Posted on November 24, 2022 by Author

Can two mobile numbers be the same in different countries?

Yes. Numbers are globally unique with the country code. That is, no two are alike if the CC is included in the number.

Do you need to add the country code for a mobile number?

The most important part to remember is to add the international country code. A mobile phone number in the United Kingdom always starts with the digits ’07’, for instance ‘07911 123456’. Adding ‘+44’, the UK’s country code makes the number unambiguous; ‘+44 7911 123456’ will always connect to a mobile phone in the UK.

Which country uses +35?

BURUNDI
International Dialing Code

Serial No. Country Name Dialing Codes
33 BULGARIA 359
34 BURKINA FASO 226
35 BURUNDI 257
36 CAMBODIA 855

Can you call a UK mobile in another country?

To call a UK mobile from another country use the full international phone number. Replace the leading ‘0’ of a UK mobile phone number with ‘+44’ to get the full international number. For example, the UK number 07700 900900 has the international equivalent of +44 7700 900900.

How long is a mobile number in different countries?

Some countries have fixed mobile number length while others have variable length format. The length of country code varies from 1 to 3 digits. Few countries have same country codes but different mobile prefix.

Do all mobile numbers have the same number of digits?

No, it depends how many people live in the country and even within a country the number of digits will vary. I live in New Zealand both my mobiles have 10 digits, this includes the network-code. However, there are people with less than 10 digits in their mobile number here as well.

Is it true that New Zealand phone numbers are 4 digits?

Not true. GSM numbers in the nation of Niue are four digits, as are all phone numbers in Tokelau. (Seven with the country code included. No area codes.) And in New Zealand, I have one mobile with a 2+6 number, another with a 3+7 number (network code+phone number).
