Can NDA become cricketer?
No you can’t. Earlier there used be selections for academy cricket team. But from past 2 years there has been none.
Is there ball party in NDA?
NDA is one of the best tri-services academies in the world. The ball dance is integral part of military training academies and NDA is one amongst them. This event is most awaited before the scheduled Passing out Parade.
Is wrist watch allowed in NDA?
Candidates are allowed to wear watch inside the hall but the use of any metallic item or digital gadget is prohibited.
What are the sports played at the NDA?
The primary focus in terms of sports at NDA has always been Shooting and Polo. The best players in our country in the above two categories are ex-NDA products. Although sports like cricket, football, hockey and basketball are also encouraged at the Academy, the sport doesn’t reach the level that it should reach.
What will the future of sports look like?
New sports will emerge as with VR/AR/AI technology an entire range of new opportunities will arise. Expect current e- games to become real new sports; e-athletes equipped with VR goggles will battle it out. Kids are likely to become more active in sports again as technology will be blended into sports, a requirement for future generations.
How will the sporting landscape change in the future?
No doubt, there will be huge changes in the sporting landscape. Traditional sports that are not changing their format or not adjust in time to the needs of future generations, are likely to lose share. New sports will emerge as with VR/AR/AI technology an entire range of new opportunities will arise.
Why are there no sports in the Indian Army Academy?
Although sports like cricket, football, hockey and basketball are also encouraged at the Academy, the sport doesn’t reach the level that it should reach. One reason for this is that these activities are team activities and in army officers never stay together for a long time.
