Can I use gloves with Nair?
I would highly recommend using gloves to apply Nair. When I first started using Nair I did not use gloves. I applied Nair to one leg and the opposite arm and immediately after I washed the Nair off of my fingers. Repeat using the other hand.
Can you apply hair removal cream with hands?
Apply a thick, even layer over the hair you want to remove. Use your fingers or a spatula, if provided. Do not rub the cream into your skin, just spread it. Wash your hands immediately if you apply with your fingers.
Can you use Vaseline with Nair?
Avoid getting Nair inside your vaginal canal or near your rectum to reduce chances of infection. Coat the vulva, vaginal canal, and rectum with a layer of petroleum jelly to prevent the cream from getting inside. After waiting for a few minutes, wipe off the cream with a soft washcloth.
How long does Nair last on hands?
The smooth, hair-free skin achieved with Nair™ products lasts days longer than shaving, because Nair™ hair removal creams chemically remove hair below the skin’s surface. Shaving physically removes it just above the surface. For even longer lasting results, try Nair™ waxes. The results can last up to 4 weeks.
How do you wash Nair off your hands?
Flush the chemicals off your skin by rinsing with cool water. Make sure you thoroughly remove any product from your skin and clothes before you begin treatment. Because the active ingredients in Nair include an acid, it can help to use an alkaline cleanser, which may neutralize the burn.
Does Nair slow hair growth?
Nair™ products will not affect the rate which one’s hair grows, nor the character or thickness of the hair shaft.
How bad is Nair?
Nair and other depilatory creams can burn your skin, even if you use them as intended. However, these chemicals may also burn or irritate the skin. While certain brands are FDA-approved, all depilatory creams come with strong warnings because the chemicals are so strong and can cause serious burns or reactions.
