Can I become physicist from IIT?

You can be a physicist by doing a BSc/BS physics which is provided by IISc and 1 or 2 IITs and other prestigious universities like Du, CU, OU that provide a BSc physics hons degree, so try for all universities that provide a BSc hons in physics or BSc/BS majors in physics if you want to be a physicist.

In order to become a Physicist students are required to pursue PhD in Physics for jobs in research and academia. But an entry-level physicist can work with a bachelor’s degree such as BSc in Physics. To get the BSc course in IIT one has to get admission the normal way by giving JEE paper and opting for this degree during the counselling session but would have to score good marks to be able to get admission in any of the two colleges. Only 2 IITs offer BSc course.
