Can a person live without desires?
It is impossible to live as a human being without desires. By “desires” I am including all feelings of want and need. It is a feeling in which you have an urge to do something or to obtain something. It is impossible to live as a human being without them.
Is it good to have no desires?
Being at peace and not desiring anything is perfectly fine. This is the natural state that we constantly try to regain by solving problems, but we keep losing it over and over again by generating desires and new problems that come with them.
What is the desire of life?
Desire is an intrinsic part of human life. We all wish for a variety of things; many are materialistic and some emotional. We want health, wealth, comfort, good relationships, success, good progeny and fame.
Why do I lack desire?
Loss of libido (sex drive) is a common problem that affects many men and women at some point in their life. It’s often linked to relationship issues, stress or tiredness, but can be a sign of an underlying medical problem, such as reduced hormone levels.
How do I not desire anything?
Strip the desire off of its attraction by cognitive reframing. Start the practice of watching your thoughts and kill desires when they arise. Simplify your life to avoid developing new, useless desires for material objects. Train your concentration to focus one-pointedly on anything you’re doing.
How do I get rid of desire?
Here are all the different ways you can use to control your desires:
- Change your environment to prevent relapse.
- Accept the temptations, don’t resist them, for they’d only rebound to come back stronger.
- Consciously redirect your attention to something else.
- Strip the desire off of its attraction by cognitive reframing.
What is a true desire?
A True Desire includes the good of all and the willingness to see the good of all manifested without limitations or conditions.
