Can a pawn attack a king?
A pawn can attack a king which is a check or a checkmate. If the king is checked, then the attacking piece must be captured or the king move to a safe spot. A checkmate is when the attacking piece(s) cannot be taken or blocked nor can the king move so as to escape attack. If checkmated, the game ends.
What kills a king in chess?
Nothing can kill a king. The king remains on the board always. You can give a check to the king with any piece or pawn, and if the king can’t move away from the check, or if you can’t capture the check-giving piece or pawn, or if you can’t move another piece or pawn in between, the king is checkmate.

Yes, a kinged-piece can certainly jump another kinged-piece. In fact, having a kinged-piece does NOT make it invulnerable to being ‘jump’. This means that even a NON-kinged-piece can jump a kinged-piece. The only advantage to kinging a piece is that it is able to move both Forward and Backward.

So, a Pawn can only kill a King if another chess piece supports it. If not, the King could kill or capture the Pawn since the King can also take other chess pieces. The King may be considered the most vulnerable chess piece of them all, but it can still do a lot more than what it is supposed to do.

Can you only promote a pawn to a queen?
The pawn is promoted to a queen, a rook, a bishop, or a knight of the same color. As per this law, you are not restricted to choose only the previously captured chess piece. That means you are free to promote your pawn into a chess piece of your choice. But yes you can only promote to either queen, rook, knight, or bishop.
