In addition to providing need-based scholarships, UChicago is pleased to provide scholarship programs for students to be able to take a Summer Session course free of charge, as well as explore UChicago with the free One-Week Enrichment programs.

What is UChicago Summer Session?
In addition to over 1,000 current undergraduate and graduate students, Summer Session at the University of Chicago will welcome nearly 1,000 academically talented high school students from around the world to participate in virtual intensive study within UChicago’s unique scholarly environment.
What do high school students do in summer?
Some students take summer classes to improve their grades in a class they didn’t do well in the first time, some do it to take a class they wouldn’t have time for during the school year, and some use summer classes as a way to take college courses or advanced high school classes.
How do I register for summer classes UChicago?
Current UChicago undergraduate students can add and/or drop Summer Session courses through Open Enrollment from March 1 through May 31, 2021. Starting June 1, 2021, course add/drops must be requested by submitting a request via the Undergraduate Enrollment Change Request form.
Will UChicago summer session pre-college programs be delivered remotely?
Yes! We invite prospective UChicago Summer Session pre-college students and parents to attend a virtual Information Session about our Summer 2021 programs, which will be delivered via the remote teaching model in response to the continued COVID-19 outbreak.
